What if I have an emergency on the weekend?
Oakville Lane Dental works in collaboration with a few other offices to cover emergency calls on weekends. If you call the office on the weekend, the emergency number will be on the answering machine.
How soon can I get in?
We are very fortunate that with our extended hours and all of our amazing dentists, we are usually able to see emergency patients the day they call.
Can I choose which dentist I’d like to see?
Absolutely. We are happy to accommodate your preferences to the best of our ability.
How do your prices compare to other dentists in the area?
Our pricing is based on the New Brunswick Fee Guide for General Practitioners, which is traditionally used by all dentists in New Brunswick.
Do you direct bill insurance companies?
Certainly. If your policy allows, we do direct bill most dental insurance companies. If there is a co-pay, we collect the difference at the completion of your appointment.
Does your office offer a payment plan option?
Yes. Our office manager would be happy to discuss financial arrangements with you.
What if I can’t make my appointment?
We do require 48 hours notice to reschedule an appointment. We understand that emergencies/illness can occur quickly, and we will make every effort to provide assistance with making a new appointment time.
Do you offer sedation dentistry?
Absolutely. Two of our doctors offer nitrous oxide sedation. Oral sedatives may also be prescribed, depending on circumstance.
How old does my child have to be before I book an appointment?
Children of all ages are welcome at Oakville Lane Dental. We recommend an introductory appointment around the age of one. At this time, the dentist can have a look at baby’s new teeth and answer any questions you might have about caring for those pearly whites.
Do you extract wisdom teeth?
Certainly. Dr Tait especially has an affinity for extracting wisdom teeth. However, some cases are complex enough to have to be referred to an oral surgeon.
Do you do braces?
For uncomplicated cases, Dr Hicks offers Invisalign (invisible braces). Complex cases are referred to an orthodontist of your choice.
Do you offer cosmetic dentistry?
Absolutely. We offer everything from tooth bleaching to full smile makeovers, which can include bonding, crowns, bridges, and dental implants.
